01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled along the stunning coastline of Casamicciola Terme, Bar Gino is a beloved local gem that perfectly marries authentic Italian flavors with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. This inviting restaurant and bar offers guests a genuine taste of southern Italy, enhanced by breathtaking ocean views that transform every meal into a memorable experience.

Bar Gino’s menu is a celebration of hearty, robust dishes that honor traditional Italian cuisine with generous portions and irresistible flavors. Among the many delights, their signature bruschetta stands out as a true culinary masterpiece—crispy, garlic-kissed bread topped with the freshest, sun-ripened tomatoes and fragrant basil, delivering a burst of Mediterranean sunshine in every bite. Patrons rave about the gnocchi and parmigiana, dishes that comfort and satisfy with their rich textures and perfectly balanced seasonings. For those seeking a simpler, yet equally fulfilling option, the paninis and golden French fries are crowd-pleasers, ideal for a quick but delicious lunch by the sea.

The dining atmosphere at Bar Gino is as warm and inviting as its owner. Gino himself is known for his gracious hospitality, often making guests feel like old friends welcomed into his home. The restaurant’s sea-facing patio offers a serene setting where diners can unwind with a well-made Spritz or a refreshing draft beer, all while soaking in the gentle sea breeze and captivating views. The combination of friendly service, affordable prices, and authentic dishes makes Bar Gino an irresistible destination for both locals and travelers craving an unpretentious yet exceptional meal.

Customer testimonials speak volumes about Bar Gino’s charm: from Stef I’s appreciation for the “perfect food” and portion sizes that are “big but never overwhelming,” to Henrique Huyer’s praise for the “best bruschetta...cheap as hell” enjoyed while gazing out at the ocean. Alexandra Linik highlights the warmth of Gino’s hospitality and the unbeatable value, while Gianluca D’Antonio fondly recalls the “beautiful seaside patio” and gracious staff that made his visit truly special. Even repeat visitors like Monica More Petroski find themselves enchanted by the fresh atmosphere and generous dishes, naming it “the best experience in Ischia.”

Whether you’re seeking a leisurely lunch, a casual dinner with friends, or a refreshing drink as the sun sets over the Tyrrhenian Sea, Bar Gino delivers an authentic taste of Italy infused with genuine warmth. It’s a place where food nourishes not only the body but also the spirit—inviting you back again and again to savor its simple, profound pleasures.

Thank you Gino for the great service and perfect food. Very nice! Big plates, he even stopped us before we ordered too much. Fries are good. The second time we went, we shared one plate, french fries and it was enough for a quick lunch. Very cheap and delicious. Recommended 100%!

Guys if you are near by you have to come and enjoy the great food. The owner is so friendly and nice and makes you feel at home. First time we came when the grill was off but we had the best bruschetta I’ve ever had. So it was so worth it, as well the the drinks are cheap and great. Second time we came we had paninis which are fantastic. You can’t go wrong with this place, it’s cheap, authentic and delicious. ( we bit into our food before the picture because it looked so good )
